Membership Benefits

Eligibility for Membership

Members of the SEMPPOA must meet two requirements before joining. The requirements are based on location and employment:

• Must work within one of the following counties in the membership area: Blue Earth, Dakota, Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, LeSueur, Martin, Mower, Nicollet, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca, or Winona (Minnesota); or, Allamakee, Emmet, Howard, Mitchell, Winnebago, Winneshiek, or Worth (Iowa); or, Buffalo, La Crosse, Pierce, Pepin, Trempealau, and Vernon (Wisconsin).
  
• And, be a full or part-time licensed law enforcement officer or investigator, or a full or part-time employee of an eligible law enforcement agency that works directly with or in other areas of law enforcement (such as dispatch, civil, warrants, records, detention and corrections) at the Federal, State, County or Municipal government levels.
